Day 1Arrive Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve, &Beyond Bateleur Camp
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi an &Beyond representative meets you, assists you through customs and with your luggage, and escorts you to the pickup area for the private road transfer to Wilson Airport. From Wilson you fly by scheduled light aircraft to &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Airstrip to begin your Masai Mara adventure. Transfer to &Beyond Bateleur Camp, set among the forests on the edge of the reserve below the spot where the final scene of Out of Africa was filmed.
Days 2 and 3Masai Mara National Reserve - &Beyond Bateleur Camp
The Masai Mara National Reserve is the quintessential African safari, with gently rolling hills, wide-open plains and large numbers of animals year round, including big herds of elephant and buffalo and frequent predator interaction. Discuss your preferences with your dedicated &Beyond guide and set the pace: twice-daily interpretive game drives, guided bush walks and an interpretive walk with a Maasai naturalist are included. A morning hot air balloon safari, Maasai community visits and wellness treatments are available at additional cost.
Day 4Laikipia - &Beyond Suyian Lodge
After breakfast at the camp your &Beyond guide drives you to &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Airstrip for the scheduled flight onward to Loisaba Airstrip in Laikipia. Suyian Conservancy spans approximately 17,806 hectares (44,000 acres) and is named after the local Maa word for African wild dog, forming a crucial wildlife corridor of grasslands, savannas, woodlands and river fronts. Settle into &Beyond Suyian Lodge, nestled along the escarpment and sheltered behind a natural kopje.
Days 5 and 6Laikipia - &Beyond Suyian Lodge
Explore remote, malaria-free terrain teeming with rare species: the elusive black (melanistic) leopard and African wild dog, plus Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, gerenuk and reticulated giraffe. Included activities are twice-daily interpretive game drives with spot-lit night drives, guided bush walks, camel and horseback safaris, interactive community visits with the Samburu people, active ranching tours and catch-and-release fishing. Wellness treatments, private yoga sessions and scenic helicopter flights are available at additional cost.
Day 7Departure - Nairobi
Enjoy a last early morning game drive and breakfast at the lodge before making your way back to Loisaba Airstrip. From there you board a scheduled flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. An &Beyond team member collects you and transfers you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
