Day 1Arrival - Kenya, Nairobi

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport a representative welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel in Nairobi. Enjoy a private visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, an elephant and rhino orphanage, timed for the 15h00 feed; a trust employee explains the project and the individual rescue story of each orphan in the nursery. Dinner is at your hotel in the only city in the world with a national park on its doorstep.

Days 2 and 3Kenya, Masai Mara - &Beyond Bateleur Camp

You are collected from your hotel for an early flight into the Masai Mara, where the &Beyond Bateleur Camp team welcomes you. Settle in before your first game drive, looking for elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and cheetah alongside wildebeest and zebra, with resident warthog around camp and red-billed hornbills in the trees. Over the following two days choose from game drives, nature walks or, at additional cost, Maasai community visits, catching sunrise as it spills over the plains and lights up the flat-topped acacias.

Days 4 and 5Tanzania, Serengeti - &Beyond Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge

Continue to the remote Western Corridor of the Serengeti and &Beyond Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge, a riverside lodge known for its high-season wildebeest crossings, enormous Nile crocodiles and exceptional year-round wildlife. Freshen up with a swim in the pool overlooking the seasonal hippo pods before heading out on a game drive. With few other vehicles around, the area feels like your private Serengeti, and this is lion country - track their paw prints to find them under shady trees or on the prowl.

Days 6 and 7Tanzania, Serengeti - &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas

After breakfast you head to &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas, a seasonal mobile camp that changes location five times a year to shadow the Great Migration. The camp offers private butler service, chandeliers, silver and crystal ware, comfortable beds with fluffy duvets and lantern-lit dinners under a canopy of stars. Game drives target the mega herds of wildebeest and zebra with big cats in close attendance, and evenings are spent around a roaring campfire.

Days 8 and 9Tanzania, Ngorongoro Crater - Nomad Entamanu Ngorongoro

Head to the Ngorongoro Crater, an ancient caldera and unique ecosystem, staying two nights at Entamanu Ngorongoro in a private cottage with ensuite, inclusive of all meals and most drinks. Spend a full day exploring the Crater floor, with opportunities to spot big-tusked elephants and endangered black rhino. Private game drives are complemented by shared activities including walking tours, Maasai village visits, bush meals and sundowners, with panoramic views over the UNESCO World Heritage Site from the lodge.

Day 10Departure

After breakfast wave a fond farewell to the Ngorongoro Crater as the journey comes to an end. You are driven to Manyara Airstrip for your flight to Kilimanjaro and your onward connection.
